
Steven J. Lehotay
Steven J. Lehotay, Ph.D., is a research chemist (lead scientist) in the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) at the Eastern Regional Research Center in Wyndmoor, PA. He has been in ARS since 1992, shortly after earning a Ph.D. in Chemistry and a minor in Environmental Sciences from the University of Florida. His research encompasses all aspects of developing improved methods and techniques for analyzing pesticides, veterinary drugs, and other contaminants in food. He has (co-)authored >150 peer-reviewed scientific papers, received numerous awards, and delivered>150 invited talks at scientific meetings in >30 countries across 6 continents. According to the Stanford C-Score, Lehotay ranks among the top 0.12% of published analytical chemists.
