Cenevo has launched Mosaic AI Inventory Search, a new AI-enabled capability designed to help scientists search inventory using natural language.
The London-based company, which specializes in connected labs for life sciences through its agentic lab platform, announced the launch on May 20, 2026. The new capability allows scientists to describe what they need in plain language, such as “all tubes registered during the last 7 days stored in freezer XYZ.” The AI assistant then builds and executes the appropriate search.
Mosaic AI Inventory Search aims to make sample discovery faster and more intuitive while helping scientific teams turn inventory data into action. Cenevo notes that the capability supports traceability, control, and context within existing laboratory systems.

Unlike generic AI chat tools, Mosaic AI Inventory Search integrates into Mosaic’s sample-centric data model. The assistant understands sample properties, labware types, modalities, and customer-specific configurations, supporting more accurate and context-aware search results.
Cenevo has built the AI assistant directly into Mosaic’s existing Inventory Search workflow, a core capability already used by the majority of Mosaic users.
Mosaic AI Inventory Search is available for cloud deployments as part of Cenevo’s expanding AI portfolio.
