BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) presented expanded biologic delivery systems and large-volume delivery solutions at Pharmapack 2026, on January 21 at Paris Expo in Paris, France. The company focused on technologies that support the development of biologics such as GLP-1 therapies, vaccines, and acute-care medicines, with an emphasis on patient self-administration and home-based care.

BD appear as an event Premium Partner and contributed to the conference program. The company highlighted drug delivery devices and laboratory testing services designed for high-viscosity formulations, large-volume subcutaneous delivery, and single- and dual-drug delivery strategies. The portfolio also addresses traceability and connectivity needs across manufacturing and distribution.

The exhibit emphasized co-packaging and co-delivery approaches that pair drug administration devices with therapies. These approaches target complex biologic formulations that require precise, reliable delivery. BD also featured ZebraSci services, which support combination product development from early concept through commercialization.

BD participated in multiple conference sessions. A keynote on January 21 examined trends shaping the high-dose biologics market and the growing role of large-volume subcutaneous delivery. A panel session the same day addressed patient-centric strategies for complex drug delivery. Two learning labs explored high-viscosity injection modeling using the BD Neopak™ XtraFlow™ Glass Prefillable Syringe and methods to evaluate plunger movement and container closure integrity under simulated air-shipment conditions.

Several delivery platforms featured at the booth:

  • The BD Libertas™ Wearable Injector targets subcutaneous administration of high-dose biologics and supports a shift away from intravenous delivery.
  • The BD Neopak™ XtraFlow™ Glass Prefillable Syringe combines thinner wall technology with a shorter 8 mm needle to support high-viscosity injections, alongside an engineered plunger stopper designed to reduce and stabilize glide force.
  • The BD iDFill™ Individual Prefillable Syringe Identification system uses RFID technology to improve efficiency and traceability in fill-finish operations and downstream distribution.

BD also previewed products in development, including large-volume subcutaneous self-injection systems and dual-injection delivery solutions. Additional products on display included the BD Effivax™ Glass Prefillable Syringe for vaccines, the BD Hylok™ Glass Prefillable Syringe for acute drugs and hyaluronic acid, the BD Physioject™ Disposable Autoinjector, and the BD Vystra™ Disposable Pen for biologics, including GLP-1 therapies.

Together, the booth demonstrations and conference sessions will outline how BD aligns device design, testing, and development services to support next-generation biologic delivery.
