Metrohm USA will open a new company-owned facility in Houston, Texas, with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for March 24, 2026. The new site marks a shift from leased space to a custom-built building designed to support technical innovation, customer collaboration, and regional growth.

The 15,000-square-foot facility positions Metrohm’s specialized technical teams close to the industries they support across the Gulf Coast region. The site supports application development, customer demonstrations, and technical training tied to analytical workflows.

Full-time laboratory staff conduct application development and deliver live product demonstrations. These teams work directly with customers to address regulatory requirements and operational parameters. A full-time technical trainer supports training for both Metrohm staff and regional customers.

Ed Colihan, President and CEO of Metrohm USA, highlighted the company’s long-standing relationship with the Houston market.

“Houston has been a key market for us for years," remarks Ed Colihan, President and CEO of Metrohm USA, highlighting the company’s long-standing relationship with the city. "It has always been a place where our team and our customers collaborate closely on the next generation of analytical challenges. Investing in this permanent home allows us to scale our technical resources and training capabilities. While the building's sustainable design reflects our corporate values, the real impact comes from the innovation that happens when our experts work side-by-side with our customers to solve complex problems.”

The facility includes several features designed to support customer engagement, training, and service operations. These include:

  • Customer Experience Centers: Spaces dedicated to demonstrations and hands-on technical training.
  • Training facilities: A primary training room designed to seat 48 people.
  • Technical operations areas: A service depot and a 500-square-foot staging area that supports the Houston service team and equipment preparation.
  • Expansion capacity: 2,300 square feet reserved for future growth.

The building also incorporates sustainability features. An extensive solar array provides approximately 98% of the facility’s total electricity consumption, allowing the site to generate most of its own power and reduce its carbon footprint.

Metrohm will host the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. on March 24, 2026, at 11034 Bay Commerce Dr., Houston, Texas. Attendees will tour the new facility and meet with company leadership during the event.
