Seer, Inc. announced that its Proteograph® Product Suite will support population-scale proteomics in the PRECISE-SG100K study, profiling the plasma proteome of 10,000 participants.
Researchers will combine data generated from Seer’s Proteograph with outputs from Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Olink® Reveal and Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Astral™ mass spectrometers. This integrated approach aims to enhance proteomic insights across one of the largest multi-omic health studies.
PRECISE-SG100K represents a cohort of approximately 100,000 Singapore residents. The study integrates genomic, proteomic, and health data from a deeply phenotyped, multi-ancestry population. Researchers aim to build a comprehensive dataset to advance precision health, disease prevention, and therapeutic discovery.
By incorporating deep, unbiased plasma proteomics, the study introduces a mechanistic layer that connects genetic variation, protein networks, and clinical outcomes. This layer supports biomarker validation, drug target discovery, and population-level risk modeling.
The Proteograph–Astral workflow delivers high-throughput proteome coverage with peptide-level resolution. It enables quantification of thousands of proteins and strengthens validation of signals identified through affinity-based platforms such as Olink Reveal. This combined strategy continues to gain traction as a complement to affinity-based methods in large-scale studies.

Proteomics data generated through this approach will support biomarker discovery across cardiometabolic, ophthalmic, neurologic, and other complex diseases. It will also advance drug target biology, inform predictive models for disease risk and response in underrepresented populations, and provide an orthogonal framework to validate markers identified through affinity-based platforms.
