ISTOCK, KRUCK20

Few meetings cover the analytical pipeline from discovery-scale characterization through process purification. The International Symposium on the Separation of Proteins, Peptides and Polynucleotides (ISPPP) returns to Orlando this October for its 45th edition, with a program built around the immediate pressure points in biologics analysis.

The 2026 Agenda

Monoclonal antibody analytics remain the established core, but the 2026 agenda extends directly into the complexities of next-generation modalities. Biologics particle analysis, including lipid nanoparticles, viral vectors, and virus-like particles, sits alongside cell and gene therapy analytics and nucleic acid characterization as explicit program themes.

Host cell material analysis and higher-order structure determination complete the picture for process development and QC scientists, where characterization data feeds regulatory submissions.

ISPPP's structure is built for cross-sector exchange. Researchers from pharmaceutical process development, academic discovery, and government regulatory environments approach the same biomolecular separation problems from different operational angles, driving the exchange in poster sessions and informal networking.

Inside the Exhibition

Vendor seminars run free alongside the scientific program, with a meal provided. Daicel will present on Vaast, a system designed to resolve all 21 proteinogenic amino acids in a single method, including chiral D/L pairs. Labs managing derivatization steps or two-dimensional setups for amino acid analysis will find the session relevant. Additional vendor seminars will be posted at isppp.org as the event approaches.

Registration and Key Dates

The early-bird deadline is August 28. After that date, full industry registration moves from $1,050 to $1,500; academic and government rates go from $750 to $1,000. One-day passes are available at $500.

  • August 28: Early-bird registration and oral abstract deadline
  • September 15: Poster abstract deadline
  • September 25: Hotel reservation deadline
  • October 18: Sunday workshops and welcome reception
  • October 19–21: Main scientific program and exhibition

Register and submit abstracts at isppp.org/registration-form.
